Terms of Service

1. The Service

Task AI by phthos.ai provides AI task automation, chat agents, connector integrations, knowledge bases, schedules, and team workspaces. Features may change; we may add, modify, or discontinue functionality.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must be at least 16 and able to form a binding contract.
• You are responsible for your credentials, API keys, and all activity under your account.
• Workspace owners and admins are responsible for inviting members and configuring access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Violate applicable law or third-party rights.
• Submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing content through tasks or connectors.
• Bypass usage limits, security controls, or billing meters.
• Probe or test our systems without written permission.
• Resell the Service except as expressly permitted in writing.

You are responsible for prompts, files, and data you submit and for upstream provider terms.

4. Third-party providers

Task AI integrates with third-party AI, embedding, and SaaS providers you configure. Those providers are not controlled by Phthos; their availability, pricing, and policies apply in addition to these Terms.

5. Plans, credits, and billing

• Paid plans unlock features; usage is metered in credits as described on our pricing pages.
• Subscriptions and payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms.
• Fees are billed in advance per billing period unless stated otherwise. Taxes may apply.
• When included credits are exhausted, additional AI operations may be blocked until the next period unless you purchase top-ups.
• We may change prices or plan limits with reasonable notice.

6. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. It is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Business customers may also execute our DPA.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PHTHOS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. AI OUTPUTS MAY BE INACCURATE — REVIEW BEFORE RELYING ON THEM.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PHTHOS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for breach, non-payment, or security or legal risk. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that should survive termination will survive.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or email.
