Subprocessors
Last updated: 2026-07-16
Third-party services that process data on our behalf to operate Task AI. This list may be updated as we add or replace vendors.
Overview
Phthos uses the subprocessors below to host Task AI, deliver email, process payments, and route traffic to providers you configure. Categories of data are described at a high level; your workspace configuration determines what is actually sent to each provider.
| Subprocessor | Purpose | Data categories | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hetzner Cloud | Application hosting, databases, and object storage | Account data, task configuration, logs, uploaded files | European Union (Germany / Finland) |
| Stripe | Subscription billing, invoicing, and payment processing | Billing contact, payment metadata (no full card numbers stored by us) | United States / EU (Stripe entity depends on account) |
| Resend | Transactional email (verification, invites, notifications) | Email address, message content | United States |
| OAuth identity providers | Sign-in (Google, GitHub, etc. when you choose them) | Profile identifiers and email from the provider | Provider-dependent |
| LLM and embedding providers | Model inference and embeddings you route through Task AI / Phthos gateway | Prompts, completions, files, and metadata you submit | Provider-dependent (configured by workspace) |
| Connected app providers | OAuth connectors (Google Drive, Notion, Slack, etc.) | Content and metadata from sources you authorize | Provider-dependent |
Customer-configured providers
When you connect OAuth apps (Google, Notion, Slack, etc.) or select LLM / embedding models, those third parties act as separate processors or sub-processors under your direction. You are responsible for reviewing their terms and ensuring appropriate agreements are in place for your use case.
Changes
We will update this page when we engage a new subprocessor that processes personal data, or when a subprocessor's role materially changes. Workspace owners may subscribe to change notifications by contacting hello@phthos.ai.
Business customers: subprocessors are also referenced in our DPA.
